The world we live in consists of an extremely diverse human population which, throughout the ages, has developed distinct cultural & political norms specific to their religion and beliefs.

Today, this diversity has left us with a plethora of events, some traditional with a deep seeded history & some not-so-traditional developed purely for a specific need, that shed light into & allow us to experience cultures different from our own.

There are numerous things that need to be taken into consideration when a Journey is being planned by Ladies. Endless logistics. Add to that the concerns regarding safety (which of course, is the prerogative & responsibility of the Tour Operator, in this case The Journeys) & the temperaments of your co-travellers & the whole task becomes very serious business.

Ladies Specials offer the perfect opportunity for women to travel without having to think about the availability of their friend / partner to be free. Basically, group tours are every woman’s way out of immense planning, plotting & possible heartbreak when the plans fail.

Life is tough if you are a woman. It is practically impossible to find time to just sit back & read that book you wanted to read for ages or cram a spa appointment into your busy schedule. Shopping may not be a priority for most ladies, but there is no arguing that retail therapy is helping women out there. If nothing, there is always the choice of going window shopping with your new found friends.

You don’t really need a travel partner. Although the thought of travelling solo can be intimidating at first, once you get over the initial fright, you will come to realise all those women who are travelling with you, probably have the same qualms & are just as eager to be friends. Our Ladies Special programs are specifically designed & tailored for female travellers. All journeys are suitable for women of all ages & backgrounds, from single ladies in their 30s to women who have spent years raising children, managing their home or building a successful career.

You will travel in small groups with like-minded women, on itineraries specially designed for female travellers. Some Ladies travel alone while others join friends, mothers, daughters or sisters to share a new experience. Regardless of background, all of the women enjoy the chance to experience a unique & enriching vacation with no planning involved on their part.

Journeys usually feature a specific region of a country with stays of three to five nights in each location. We take care of all the details, from organizing museum outings &  sightseeing tours & free time for personal exploring, shopping, markets, gardens, galleries, concerts & anything else we want to indulge in to finding the best restaurants & hotels in each destination.
